The Blue World



I understand colors; that’s a gift that was given to me. Not

that I haven’t struggled with palettes that lose their edge

throughout my career, but those are the challenges that lead

to transformation and growth.


Painting and creativity are indescribable. There is no formula.

They only work when they continue to surprise. You have to

accept surprise and let it lead you. These new paintings are a

result of a lifelong fascination with the light and water of the

California coast, but they still surprise me.
